Improvements To Arkansas Interstates Prompt Lane Closures

Construction Set To Begin On Interstate 430 in ArkansasAccording to the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department, improvements to Interstate 430 will require overnight closure of the northbound lanes of Interstate 430.

Crews will be working to repair the pavement on Interstate 430, resulting in northbound traffic being reduced to one lane.

In addition, drivers exiting Interstate 630 onto Interstate 430 will have a shortened merge zone.

The closures will be Wednesday night, September 4th through Friday morning, September 6th between 9:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. each day, weather permitting. Traffic will be controlled using barrels and warning signs.

In addition, pavement repairs will require a lane closure on Interstate 40 in North Little Rock. 

The work will be performed on Interstate 40 at the Young Road Overpass, which is just east of Crystal Hill, at mile marker 149.

The repairs will require the westbound outside lane to be closed Wednesday, September 4th and Thursday, September 5th between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., weather permitting.
