Truck drivers should plan accordingly or just avoid the route between Memphis, Tennessee and Arkansas for the entire week.
LITTLE ROCK — Crews performing deck patching on the Interstate 55 Bridge over the Mississippi River between West Memphis and Memphis will require a lane closure next week, according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) officials.
The concrete patching will require an alternating lane closure in the westbound lanes beginning Monday, January 7th and continuing through Friday, January 11th. The lane closure will be in effect between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. each day, weather permitting.
Motorists should exercise caution when approaching and traveling through all highway work zones.
