Iowa Carrier Agrees To Pay $50K For Sexual Harassment

Iowa Carrier Agrees To Pay $50K For Sexual Harassment Iowa-based carrier CRST Van Expedited has settled a $50, 000 sexual harassment lawsuit, carried over from a 2007 sexual harassment case that involved 270 women.  The settlement ends the five-year long sexual harassment battle.

CRST agreed to settle with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission to avoid going to trial.  In addition, the settlement allows CRST to petition a judge to order that the EEOC to pay for the company’s legal fees for the claims that were dismissed.

A judge earlier awarded CRST $4.5 million, but the award was overturned.
