Major Road Repair Project On Interstate 84 in Pennsylvania Underway

Published:

According to WNEP, a $66 million project to rebuild Interstate 84 in Pike County, Pennsylvania began yesterday as crews got to work milling and clearing debris off the interstate.

The project will run between Milford and Matamoras.

“Drivers should expect to see lane restrictions on both east and westbound lanes between Milford and Matamoras over the next couple of weeks,” WNEP reported.

Crews are beginning to make cross overs on Interstate 84, PennDOT said.

In the spring, traffic will be diverted to the eastbound lanes while crews work to remove and replace the westbound lanes.  Once that’s complete, traffic will be diverted to the westbound lanes while crews remove and repair the eastbound lanes.
