Overnight, a truck driver pulled into a lot on Tonnelle Avenue, near 14th Street in North Bergen, New Jersey to take a rest. Â While the driver was sleeping, he awoke to his truck moving.
The driver got out of his truck to check things out and saw a man wearing a black hooded sweatshirt. The man was taking a $60,000 Mercedes Benz C63 off the car carrier. Â The driver tried to get into the car, but the thief pulled out a gun.
The driver backed away from the man.
The thief drove off in the stolen car and a large SUV followed the Mercedes away.
A short time later, the Mercedes was recovered at a LaQuinta Hotel on Route 3 in Clifton.
