Man’s Swearing Tirade At Truck Stop Leads To Arrest

Published:

On Friday evening, at approximately 6:02 p.m., Bobbi Young, a cashier at the Rothsay Truck Stop in Rothsay, Minnesota, was working at the fuel counter when Alfred Pearson, of Moorhead, walked into the store and began shouting obscenities.

“I was helping customers and a gentlemen came in the door and was swearing and saying the n-word constantly .  Then he said,  ‘What?  You wanna fight, bitch,’ to me. He sounded like a broken record, he kept shouting the same obscenities over and over,” Young told CDLLife.

“He then began trying to get into a confrontation with the customers.  He kept waving his hands and kept reaching in his pockets.  I was scared he might have had a weapon.  He then began harassing a female that came in with a man who had stopped to get gas. They’re the ones who called the police,” Young continued.

Young says a gentlemanly truck driver offered to stay and help. “I wish I would have taken him up on his offer.  It was pretty scary,” she said.

Pearson left the truck stop and was pulled over by police a short time later.  He was taken into custody for outstanding warrants.  He is being charged with disorderly conduct.
