Mayflower Truck Caught Smuggling Drugs Through Cranbury

Two California men have been arrested for smuggling drugs (allegedly) along the New Jersey Turnpike.


Does all this talk of Cranbury and Mayflower have anyone else wanting to make a Thanksgiving joke?

The Mayflower truck (owned by Piedmont Moving Systems of San Jose, California) was on the Turnpike yesterday (Tuesday) around 4:00PM authorities pulled the truck over for inspection in a routine traffic stop. The driver didn’t stop. In fact, he lead a small police chase during which he struck and damaged a trooper’s car. – One of the troopers did sustain a minor injury during the arrest.

The truck eventually pulled over, and the police were able to get a warrant. After a search was conducted, authorities found a large amount of crystal meth as well as heroin and a handgun in the sleeper.

Paul Yeargin (43) and Anthony Brewer (39) are currently being held with a $600,000 bail at Middlesex County Jail. According to Lt. Stephen Jones both men have been charged with possession with intent to distribute.
