PEORIA, Ill. — The annual Mid-West Truck and Trailer Show will be held Feb. 1-2 at the Peoria Civic Center.
The show is sponsored by the Mid-West Truckers Association and is held in conjunction with the organization’s annual convention.
Don Schaefer, executive vice president of the association, said the 2013 show will continue a growth trend with more exhibitors and the popular Trucker’s Pride Truck Beauty Contest, held indoors for work and show trucks.
“The 2013 show includes expanded displays, programs and space for nearly 200 exhibitors to help truck operators move ahead in a complex market while facing the challenges of changing regulations, an uncertain economy and increased costs,” Schaefer said.
Attendees will see displays of the newest tractors, trailers, engines, parts, accessories, communication and computer equipment, tires, lubricants, services and much more, Schaefer said, adding that representatives of all state and federal government agencies that deal with the trucking industry will be available.
There will be product demonstrations, many door prizes and special show prizes.
The Truckers Pride Truck Beauty Contest includes an antique truck category and a People’s Choice Award, voted by all attendees.
Truck entries will be accepted at http://www.MidwestTruckers.com.
Headline speaker for the opening session of the convention will be Doug Oberhelman, chairman and CEO of Caterpillar Inc., who will provide his unique insight into the industry and the economy, Schaefer said.
Show hours are Friday, Feb. 1 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday, Feb. 2 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Admission is free with promotional tickets available from most Midwest industry suppliers or online at http://www.MidwestTruckShow.com
