Several times over the last year, we’ve asked you to tell us about your favorite truck stop.  Not surprisingly, the small mom  and pop truck stops came out on top and the larger, chain stops landed at the bottom of the list.

We’ve taken all the information you have provided us with and compiled this list of the top truck stops in the United States.

Many things factor into what makes a truck stop great: food, service, cleanliness and parking… just to name a few.

Located along the historic Route 66, Russell’s Truck Stop and Travel Center offers drivers good ole fashioned service.  Russell’s boasts a full grocery store, an authentic Route 66 diner, a classic car and memorabilia museum, a chapel and “the best showers on the planet.”

Away from your home church?  Russell’s offers a 24-hour chapel and 11:00 a.m. Sunday services.

( I-40 exit 369 Glen Rio, NM) It has a museum of vintage cars, and other vintage memorabilia. White’s opened its doors for service in 1970 and was a driver favorite for many years.  While a few of our readers said White’s isn’t what it once was, it’s still a CDLLife reader favorite.  White’s was once known for its impressive gun and motorcycle collection.  Many drivers said they like the shuttle service to and from the lot.  In 2010, Petro bought out White’s.
