The Utah Highway Patrol is seeking the public’s help locating a person who struck and killed a truck driver in Salt Lake City.
The incident occurred on Friday morning on Interstate 80 on the SB I-15 on-ramp.
According to the Utah Highway Patrol, 53-year-old truck driver Mark Hoggard hit a barrier as he was exiting the interstate. After the crash, Hoggard got out of his truck and walked behind it.
Moments later, Hoggard was struck and killed.
The driver who hit Hoggard fled the scene, and authorities have not received any calls about the accident.
Police believe the hit-and-run driver may be driving a 1995 to 2001 Geo Metro with a missing left mirror.
