Recipe: Slow Cooker Smothered Pork Chops

Published:

I love all-in-one meals. They’re fast and easy to make, and this is one of my favorites. Pair this mean with some applesauce and rolls and you’ve got a hearty meal.

Ingredients:

2-4 pork chops (bone-in or out)

1 large or 3 small cans of Campbells cream of mushroom soup

4 ounces of sour cream

2 Tbsp. Butter

6 large potatoes (Very thinly sliced, skin on)

Salt and pepper to taste

Optional add-ins:

Sliced onions

1/4 cup dry, white cooking wine.

Directions:

Wash and slice potatoes.  Make sure they’re good and thin.  Warm butter in the bottom of the slow cooker.  Layer bottom of slow cooker with 1/2 of the sliced potatoes.

Mix cans of soup and sour cream.

Place pork chops over the layered potatoes.

Layer remaining half of the sliced potatoes over the top of the pork chops.

Pour soup and sour cream mixture over the potatoes.

Cook on high for 4 hours.
