Recipe: Summer Sparkling Lemonade

Whether you’re trying to “stop the pop” or just looking for a refreshing summer drink, this sparkling lemonade drink will satisfy your craving and quench your thirst.

My sister made this for us one year on a camping trip and it’s now one of my family’s favorites.  I don’t allow my kids to drink soda, so they really enjoy this fizzy lemonade.  It really is a summer treat.

Also, you can substitute the lemonade for any of the other Crystal Light options.  You can also make smaller portions depending on how much you want/need.  Another option is to substitute  3/4 cup real fruit juice for Crystal Light.

Single Serving:

1 16 oz. bottle of sparkling water (plain or lime flavor)

1 “On the Go” size Crystal Light packet of Lemonade (Also fun to do pink or raspberry lemonade)

2 drops of lemon (this can be omitted)

Pour the Crystal Light into your bottle of sparkling water.  Close the lid tightly and gently shake the bottle to mix the powder.  DO NOT open the bottle for  5-10 minutes.

4 Quarts:Summer Lemonade

4 large bottles of sparkling water (My favorites are Segrams and San Pellegrino)

2 2-quart Crystal Light mix packets

2 tablespoons of lemon juice

1 sliced lemon or 1/2 lemon and 1/2 lime

Pour Crystal Light packets into a 4-quart pitcher, pour sparkling water over the powder.  Mix well.  Add lemon juice and mix well. Add lemon slices.  Chill for 30 minutes.  Pour over ice and enjoy!
