Trucking Companies That Hire Felons

Published:

Top trucking companies that hire felons with convictions.

“Which trucking companies hire felons?”  This is a question we get asked a lot.  The truth is that the answer varies depending on how long ago the felony was committed and the type of felony that was committed.

Everyone makes mistakes. Sometimes those mistakes haunt us for the rest of our lives, but sometimes we get a second chance to do the right thing — you get to start over. Trucking is an industry that is good at giving second chances.

If you’re a convicted felon, don’t give up!

There are several trucking companies that will hire convicted felons and will give you a second chance.

If you’ve committed a crime and have been convicted, don’t hide it from potential employers — they’ll find out. The Department of Transportation requires all truck drivers undergo a criminal background check.  If you omit your criminal history, you could be sent home for falsifying your application, which will further haunt you, as it will appear on your DAC.  Be honest, admit your crime.

If you’ve satisfied your sentence and are ready for a fresh start, these companies will give convicted felons a second chance.

If you have your CDL, you’re a step ahead.  If you don’t, don’t discourage, we have a list of trucking companies that provide training, as well.
