Road Rage: Truck Driver Stabbed In Oregon

Published:

According to KPTV, a road rage incident in Oregon led to a driver’s stabbing.

The incident occurred on Northeast Kane Drive near Stark Street in Gresham at approximately 7:30 p.m. on October 22, when Butch Smith, 39, was driving his truck along Kane Drive.

Smith says a car pulled in front of him and blocked him from moving. The car driver then got out of his vehicle and approached Smith’s truck, climbed up to the driver’s side window and punched Smith in the face.

KPTV reported that Smith opened the door and knocked his attacker to the ground.  The two men scuffled and the suspect then stabbed Smith in his left side.  The attacker then took off.

Smith went to the hospital where he was treated and released.

“The suspect is described as a white man with brown hair, 5’10” tall and 190 pounds. He was wearing blue jeans and a baseball hat,” KPTV reported.

The suspect was driving a silver to tan sedan.

Police said they believe multiple witnesses passed by the scene and would like witnesses to come forward with any information.
