Road Testing Will Require Lane Closures On Arkansas I-40 and I-430

The Arkansas Department of Transportation has announced that testing will require the closure of Interstates 40 and 430 in Pulaski County.

Crews will be taking samples from the road in preparation of the upcoming widening projects for the interstates.

According to the Arkansas Department of Transportation:

Interstate 40

The preparation work will require closing Interstate 40 eastbound and westbound inside lanes extending from Highway 365 at Morgan to just east of the Interstate 40/430 Interchange.

The westbound inside lane will be closed Wednesday, November 6th and Thursday, November 7th. The eastbound inside closure will be Thursday, November 7th and Friday, November 8th. The ramp from I-40 east to I-430 south will also be narrowed. All work will occur between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., weather permitting.

Interstate 430

The work will also require closing Interstate 430 northbound and southbound inside lanes near the Interstate 40/430 Interchange.

The southbound inside lane will be closed Friday, November 8th. The northbound inside lane will be closed and the ramp from I-430 north to I-40 west will be narrowed on Monday, November 11th. All work will occur between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., weather permitting.
