On Thursday, the Texas Department of Transportation opened the state’s newest rest area, located on Interstate 20 eastbound, 15 miles west of Monahans near Pyote.
“From the Odessa area, drivers need to go west on I-20 and travel past the westbound safety rest area about two miles. Then they may exit I-20, cross over the FM 115 overpass and come back eastbound to the safety rest area on the south side of the interstate,” Odessa American reported.
