Three Teens Arrested, Charged With Truck Driver’s Murder

Published:

Three 17-year-olds were arrested and charged with the murder of 53-year-old Papa John’s truck driver Robert Horton.

On Saturday morning, Horton and his co-worker arrived at the Papa John’s location at 11th Street and Delaware Avenue in Tulsa, Oklahoma to deliver pizza dough.

The coworker went into the restaurant while Horton remained in the truck. Police believed that Horton was approached by three suspects.

The co-worker says he heard a scuffle, like the sound of falling trays.  The co-worker went outside and found Horton lying on the ground.  He had been shot twice in the chest.

The co-worker began administering CPR.

Horton was transported to St. John Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Horton leaves behind a wife, 2 children and 6 grandchildren.

According to NBC Dallas Ft. Worth, police believe the original motive was robbery, however, the suspects did get any money.

On Monday, Tulsa police arrested teens Damian Anderson, Jermaine Savory and Frankie Jackson and charged the three with first-degree murder.
