Truck Driver Murdered At Dallas Truck Stop

Published:

Dallas police are investigating the death of a 68-year-old truck driver from Indiana whose body was found near the USA Travel Center on South Lancaster Road, near Interstate 20.

Dallas Morning News reported that the driver ran out of gas on LBJ Freeway and had gone to the truck stop to purchase some fuel.  At approximately 2:30 a.m., the driver paid for 5 gallons of fuel and headed back to his truck.

A short time later, a security guard spotted the drivers body at the edge of the parking lot and called police.

The driver’s cause of death is unknown at this time, but police say there was trauma to the driver’s body and they’re treating the case as a homicide.

Last month, a truck driver was robbed and brutally beaten in the same area.

Drivers, if you’re in the area, please be careful.
