According to the Star Telegram, 46-year-old truck driver Steven Cooper was forced off the road by a fellow truck driver. Cooper’s truck rolled and ended up on its side. Tragically, Cooper died in the accident.
The incident occurred Tuesday morning at approximately 7:51 a.m., on Interstate 35 near the Heritage Trace Parkway exit in Fort Worth, Texas.
The truck driver who ran Cooper off of the road did not stop.
The Star Telegram spoke with Cooper’s sister, Sherry, who said she believes the incident was the result of road rage. She told the publication that she doesn’t know how the driver got away without being stopped.
“It was a man who killed him out of road rage,” Sherry Cooper told the Star Telegram. “He rammed my brother’s truck. My brother was waving him around.”
Cooper’s family is dismayed that no witnesses could offer a description of the truck or its driver.
Sharron Neal Fort Worth police spokeswoman said that the two people who witnessed the crash said they were too focused on helping Cooper, so they didn’t focus on the other truck.
“We didn’t get a description or license plate number,” Neal said.

According to the Star-Telegraph, this morning a truck driver was killed after being forced off the road by another truck driver on Interstate 35 in Fort Worth.
Fort Worth police Spokesman Sgt. Kelly Peel told the Star-Telegraph that the driver of the other truck continued driving south and did not stop.
The incident occurred at approximately 8:00 a.m. near Heritage Trace Parkway in north Fort Worth.
After the truck was forced off the road, it rolled and landed on its side in a grassy area. The driver had to be extricated from the wreckage.
Police have not yet released the name of the driver or the description of the truck they say forced the driver off the road.
