On Thursday night, a kind truck driver helped a woman escape the elements and find warmth and safety inside his truck, however, his kindness was used against him.
According to News 10, Stockton police reported that at approximately 7:30 p.m., the 59-year-old driver was sitting in his truck at the 1000 block of W. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, when he heard a knock at his truck’s door. When he answered, he found a woman offering to trade sex for money.
The driver said he refused the woman’s offer but told her she could escape the cold for a bit in his truck.
Once inside the truck, the woman pepper sprayed the driver, stole his wallet, then fled on foot.
The suspect is described as a 30-year-old African American woman, 5’5″ tall, 120 pounds with blond hair.  She was wearing jeans and a coat with fur on the hood.
