Roll Truck Roll was originally created by a country music star named Tommy Collins. Red Simpson remade it in a deal struck between he and Nashville producer Ken Nelson. It was an instant hit, and Nelson requested more songs from Simpson that detailed the triumph and heartache of truckers on the open road. Simpson was more than happy to oblige.
Today, Red Simpson doesn’t perform his trucking songs as much as fans would like, but he’s healthy and happy living in his Arizona home. Enjoy, truck drivers!
