Truck Driver’s Body Recovered From Icy River, Passenger Still Missing

Rescuers are searching the icy waters of the Red Cedar River, near Lake Menominie Park in Wisconsin, for the body of a truck’s passenger.

According to UPI, at approximately 3:45 a.m., the truck was traveling along Interstate 94, when it jackknifed on the snowy road,  crossed the media, went down an embankment and crashed into the icy river below.

Rescuers recovered the body of the driver, still inside the cab of the truck.

Based on information provided by the carrier, dive teams are now searching for the truck’s passenger.

Authorities are not releasing the carrier’s or victim’s names.
