In the early morning hours of Friday, May 4, 2012, in Stockton, California, Alexander Bell and his family were headed to drop off Bell at this truck.
As the family pulled into the lot, Bell noticed another semi parked next to his truck and noticed that a man was siphoning fuel from his truck.
Bell confronted the man who then jumped into his day cab and tried to flee.
Angered, Bell jumped on the side of the suspect’s truck as it was driving away.
Bell’s wife and two children went to follow the truck. A block or so away, Bell’s wife found him lying in the street. He had been ran over by the truck.
Bell was taken to the hospital where he died as a result of the serious tauma.
More than a year later, Bell’s family may soon see justice.
Finally, a tip came in that led police to Percy Levon Brown, 34, the owner of a trucking company. Authorities charged Brown with second-degree murder.
On June 29, 2012 police arrested Brown. He was booked into the San Joaquin County Jail,
On Friday, Brown pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Brown is currently awaiting trail for Bell’s death and is being held without bail.
