According to Arkansas State Police, two men were killed after being hit by a truck Sunday night.
The two men, Gregory Ward, 40 and Richard Foster, 19 were changing a vehicle’s flat tire on the roadside on Arkansas 7 – southbound, just north of Harrison. Foster had stopped to help Ward.
The 1999 Peterbilt (heading southbound) was said to have come around the curve, tried to stop, but was unable to avoid colliding with the two vehicles and striking the two men.
Both men died at the scene, Ward’s 9-year-old son (sitting in the vehicle) was also injured, but survived – his condition is unknown.
The driver was uninjured, and the accident is currently under investigation.
