Update: Independence police have identified the man as 42-year-old Christian Frye of Washington. More details to come.
According to the Independence, Missouri police department, on Friday night officers responded to a call regarding a man needing medical attention in the area of I-70 and Little Blue Parkway.
The man was taken to a local hospital where he received medical attention.
The man called himself Christian Frye, and police think he may have ties to Washington state. He appears to have amnesia or some sort of memory loss and knows very little about his past.
Some in the trucking community have expressed concerned that Frye might have been a truck driver and that’s how he ended up in Missouri, though there is no confirmation on this. The Missing Truck Driver Alert Network has been working to circulate the man’s picture in hopes of finding out his true identity and to reunite the man with his family.
The Independence Police Department is seeking the public’s help in helping Frye find out exactly who he is and where he’s from.
