The U.S. economy seems to be improving, especially trucking and transportation services, according to the latest Beige Book report conducted and released by the Federal Reserve.
In its report on Wednesday, the Federal Reserve said transportation services were generally positive among the six districts that reported. There are twelve districts the Federal Reserve covers.
Near Atlanta, Ga., one trucking company has decided to expand service to include flatbed trucks in order to haul needed construction equipment for work on homes.
In Cleveland, Ohio, freight transport shipping has increased due to new demands from retail stores which have seen higher shopper traffic than usual.
Along with increased trucking and transportation services, home and automobile sales from mid-November to January also improved.
“This report is consistent with a gradual but resilient economic recovery,” stated the Federal Reserve.
