Vermont Man Killed After Lying In Front Of Truck

Suicide?A Randolph, Vermont man was ran over and killed today after crawling under a tanker truck and lying down in front of the truck’s tires at a Randolph Cumberland Farms location.  

Surveillance video shows the man, Peter Maraget, 51, waiting for the truck driver to go inside the building, then crawling under the truck lying down in front of the rear wheels.

The driver returned to his truck and pulled forward approximately 15 feet, then stopped when he realized he had ran over something, the Vermont Standard reported.

First responders performed CPR on Maraget.  He was transferred to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

An autopsy and toxicology tests have been ordered.  Police are investigating the accident.
