VIDEO: Logging Truck Pulls Record 7 Loads

This video was posted on our wall by Don Baston. He said this logging truck, driven by Floyd Veach, pulled 7 loads out of Thompson River drainage in western Montana in the early 1970s, earning Veach recognition in the Guiness Book of World Records.

According to Don, “In the early ’70s Claridge Trucking had the task of hauling Anaconda’s logs from up to 100 miles away to the rail head at Thompson Falls. They were able to successfully haul multiple loads down the private Anaconda Logging road to the landing.”Though many drivers in that time period hauled three or more loads at a time, Veach was the the pioneer of the 7-load haul.
