Iowa officials have released dash cam footage of a crash which ended a high-speed chase reaching 110 mph.
The driver of the vehicle, Jeremiah Johnson, 33, led police through three counties. Meanwhile, Johnson’s 5-year-old son was in the backseat.
According to officials, the chase started at 2:49 am in Clive, IA. The chase ended in Indianola, IA, when Johnson collided with a parked and unoccupied police vehicle.
Jeremiah was found dead when police inspected the scene of the accident. The child, Johnnathen Johnson, was found crying and on the floor. He suffered serious injuries and was taken to Blank Children’s Hospital in Des Moines, IA.
In November, Johnnathen was reported missing when Jeremiah refused to return the his son to his mother, which violated the custody order.
