Early this morning, Boston Globe delivery truck driver Paul Healy Jr. was injured when the truck he was driving was hit by a suspected drunk driver.
The crash occurred at approximately 3:15 a.m. this morning near the Leverett Circle in Boston, Massachusetts.
The truck was driving north on Interstate 93 when 25-year-old Vivencia Bellegarde’s 2006 Cadillac struck Healy’s truck, sending the truck over the guardrail. Healy’s truck landed on the Exit 26 ramp.
Healy was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Bellegarde was arrested at the scene and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and negligent operation of a motor vehicle, Boston.com reported.
Since Bellgarde got her license in 2006, she has racked up a 5-page driving record, including a prior citation for driving under the influence of alcohol, Boston.com reported.
