Video: Truck Crushed By Train In Chicago

According to CBS Chicago, on Monday, a commuter train and a car carrier collided, causing the train to derail.

The collision caused two of the cars on the car carrier to be thrown into a nearby parking lot. The car carrier was crushed nearly beyond recognition.

The incident occurred at approximately 4:00 p.m. on Monday at the Milwaukee West line at Oak Street in Chicago.

The truck driver was not injured in the crash, but two of the train’s 20 passengers were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

At this time, the accident is under investigation.  Authorities have released no further details.
