It’s like something out of a nightmare, on Thursday, truck driver Kevin Holcomb was driving along the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel when a powerful line of thunderstorms struck.
Holcomb had no other choice than to ride out the storm. He pulled out his phone and recorded the incident.
Strong winds rocked the truck.
“I’ve never been so scared in my life. They closed the bridge, and I’m stuck in the middle of it,” Holcomb said. “You can see by my cord, just how bad this truck is rocking… I’m going to need a drink after this.”
Holcomb said he had been watching the weather all afternoon and that he thought he could beat the storm.
“I thought I was going to be able to beat it — and I guess the bridge people thought that too — but that wasn’t the case,” Holcomb said.
The storm prompted authorities to close the bridge.
