Lottery officials say they’re waiting for the sole winner of the $326 million Mega Millions jackpot to step forward.
The winning ticket was sold at a Valero truck stop on Route 302 in Middletown, New York.
The jackpot is the largest in New York state history.
The winning numbers were 9, 15, 24, 39, and 41. The Mega Ball number is 1.
This really is the true luck of the draw, as the winner purchased a Quick Pick ticket instead of using pre-selected numbers,” said Gardner Gurney, Acting Director of the Division of the Lottery. “Now they are sitting on a gold mine.”
If the lucky winner opts for the lump sum, he or she will take home $197,456,087 before taxes.
The lucky winner has one year to claim his or her winnings.
