4-Truck Wreck on Grapevine, No Injuries Reported

Published:

A truck driver from Glendale, Arizona reportedly reached speeds of  90 to 100 mph while going down the Grapevine and hit three trucks.

The accident occurred on Tuesday night at approximately 11:00 p.m. on the downhill grade of the Grapevine between Fort Tejon and Grapevine Loop Road, the Fresno Bee reported.

The Arizona truck driver was driving a Kenworth.  He first rear ended a Frightliner, and then continued on down the Grapevine and hit two other trucks.

The Freightliner’s fuel tank was ruptured, and the Kenworth’s trailer came loose and blocked the lanes of I-5.

The Kenwoth tractor then continued down the highway and crashed onto the shoulder of the highway, causing a brush fire.

Despite the horrific scene, no one was injured in the crash.
