Bob Hoskins, Actor And Former Truck Driver Dies At Age 71

71-year-old Bob Hoskins, former truck driver, and star of ‘Who Framed Roger Rabbit’ died last night of pneumonia.

Hoskins was born in 1942. When he turned 15, he quit school and began working as a truck driver in West Suffolk, England.

Although he began his acting career in 1962, his break through role wasn’t until 1978 in the BBC musical, ‘Pennies From Heaven.’

Some of his more famous movies include, ‘Mermaids,’ ‘Hook,’ ‘Super Mario Bros,’ and ‘Who Framed Roger Rabbit.’

His last film was ‘Snow White and the Huntsman’ in 2012 prior to his retirement and Parkinson’s diagnosis.

He was surrounded by his family and friends when he passed away.
