BOLO: ISP Looking For Suspected Double Murderer

BOLO: ISP Looking For Suspected Double Murder

According to a press release from the Illinois State Police, authorities are asking for the publics’ help in an investigation into a death that occurred on Tuesday, July 1, at the Willow Creek Rest area on I-39 southbound at mile maker 84.

Authorities were called to the rest area at approximately 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday after a female was found unresponsive.

Investigators reviewed surveillance video from the rest area and found on Monday night at approximately 7:15 p.m.,  as the woman exited the restroom, she was attacked by a male suspect.

The suspect has been identified as 36-year-old Terence Doddy.  Doddy is currently wanted by the Rockford Police Department for a murder that occurred on June 30th in Rockford, Illinois.

Doddy was seen leaving the scene in the victim’s grey 2013 Nissan Altima; Illinois license plate BARGMN 2.

ISP is warning the public to “take the necessary safety precautions when visiting rest stop areas.”

The victim’s name has not been released at this time.
