At least three massive pileups, with as many as 100 vehicles, have brought the Pennsylvania Turnpike to a standstill.
One crash took place near the Willow Grove Exit 351 in the eastbound lanes. The backup goes all the way to the Midcounty Toll Plaza.
Emergency crews are having a difficult time getting to the scene.
The Southbound Northeast Extension is shutdown too.
The incident began at 7:40 a.m.
