Celadon Trucking Expands Wellness Clinic

Published:

The Indianapolis-based trucking company Celadon recently announced the expansion of its onsite health clinic, which will now be managed by RepuCare, to offer more comprehensive health care services to company drivers and their families.

The onsite health and wellness facility will educate employees about health risks and prevention, coach them on wellness goals and provide additional services such as annual check-ups and prescription drug management.

“We intend to remain an innovator in all aspects of our industry, including the most comprehensive worksite health and wellness program for our employees and families,” said Celadon President & CEO Paul Will, in a company news release.

Employees will have access to a team of RepuCare practitioners including nurses, medical assistants, a registered dietician/wellness coach, and a physical therapist.

Celadon brought RepuCare on board to help find a solution to the rise in medical and workers compensation costs. Their goal with the newly managed facility is to address unhealthy lifestyle behaviors before they escalate to costly chronic conditions.

“It’s a win-win program as our employees and families gain access to quality care and become engaged to improve their health and wellness, while the company benefits as the employer of choice while continuing to contain costs,” Will said.

Occupational health services will also be offered to diagnose and treat worksite injuries and illnesses, support DOT driver testing requirements, and provide therapy and injury prevention programs.

RepuCare operates a second onsite health and wellness clinic for Celadon at the new driver training facility, since it opened in February 2014.
