61-year-old Pennsylvania driver, Gary Johnson was airlifted to Roanoke after overcorrecting and running off the road on southbound Virginia I-81 early this morning.
According to troopers, the accident occurred around mile marker 187 near the Lexington/Buena Vista exit at approximately 4:50 a.m. Unfortunately, the wreck was not discovered until roughly 6:28 a.m. – when another driver stumbled upon the scene.
The company’s mobile navigation device is currently though to be the cause of the accident.
The condition of the driver is not known at this time.
