Just moments after Courtney Ann Sanford, 32, posted a selfie and Facebook status exclaiming, “The happy song makes me HAPPY!” Sanford was dead.

According to UPI, at 8:33 a.m. Sanford posted the status update on Facebook, and one minute later, she crossed a grass median on Business 85 in High Point, North Carolina and crashed into a truck head on.  Sanford died at the scene.

Following the accident, police learned of Sanford’s 8:33 Facebook post.  They said the call about the accident came in at 8:34.

“In a matter of seconds, a life was over just so she could notify some friends that she was happy,” sHigh Point Police Lt. Chris Weisner told WGHP.

As investigators looked at Sanford’s Facebook page, they found that Sanford had been posting selfles as she was driving, as well.

“As sad as it is, it is a grim reminder for everyone… you just have to pay attention while you are in the car,” Weisner said.

The truck driver was not injured.
