An Australian truck driver was seriously injured yesterday (Thursday) morning around 10:20 a.m. while trying to prevent a runaway rig from crashing through a playground.

According to authorities, the driver obtained serious leg injuries when he was run over while trying to stop his loaded truck from rolling our of a Kojonup service station.

The tractor trailer collided with another vehicle and a power pole before finally rolling into a playground.
There were no other injuries.
According to a witness who stated that the incident had been very scary, “It looks like it clipped a slide, I think it’s ripped out a bin and it’s flattened a pole or two and now it’s resting on the creek bed.”
Power lines were also downed due to the crash causing a loss of power for nearly 700 people.
