Driver Killed In Oregon Highway 47 Rollover Accident

A driver was killed Thursday morning on Highway 47 near Yamhill, Oregon near mile marker 34.

At the time of the accident, the rig was hauling hundreds of gallons of syrup and traveling southbound when it rolled after the driver failed to negotiate a right curve. The truck finally came to rest in a grass field along the side of the road.

Police have not yet been able to identify the driver who was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.

The highway is currently closed.
