The Ontario Provincial Police have tracked down the driver of the tractor trailer that was overtaking the snowplow – which forced the driver of the rig with the dash cam to the right. Highway Traffic Act charges are currently pending.
Although there was no contact between the trucks, the rig forced to the right hit several guardrail posts while trying to avoid the head-on collision.
The truck overtaking the snowplow did not stop after the accident. With the help of the video, authorities were able to track down the second driver.
He was identified as a 31-year-old, Ontario man – his name will not be released until he is convicted.
