Driver’s Wife Seeking Help Identifying Driver Who Assaulted Her Husband

Published:

This morning, Lisa Kirkum got a call no driver’s wife wants to receive.  Her husband was hurt and is in the hospital. — Hundreds of miles away.

At approximately 10:15 a.m. this morning, CR England driver Joe Kirkum was waiting in line at the Love’s fuel island in Christiana, Tennessee  when he was pulled from his truck and assaulted.

Kirkum says the details of the incident are vague at this point, because she hasn’t been able to communicate with her husband yet, due to him being under anesthesia.

Here’s what she does know: Joe was parked behind another truck in the fuel lane.  Joe and the truck driver who was parked in front of him exchanged some words and Joe headed back to his truck.  As Joe was climbing back into his truck, the driver allegedly pulled Joe down from his truck. An altercation occurred and Joe was “beat up pretty bad.”

Joe is in a hospital in the Christina, Tennessee area.  He sustained a dislocated shoulder and other injuries. At this time, the extent of his injuries are unknown.

Lisa is asking anyone with information to contact her via CDLLife at [email protected].

We will update this story as information comes available.
