Dump Truck Axle, Tires Fly Off and Hit Oncoming Car

A dump truck’s axle and tires flew off of the truck and struck an on-coming car.

The incident occurred Wednesday afternoon on the Ronald Reagan Highway near Cincinnati, Ohio.

According to WLWT, the dump truck was eastbound on the highway when the tires flew off, bounced over the median and struck a westbound car.

The tires struck the driver’s side windshield and door. The impact crunched the driver’s side of the car, trapping the driver inside. The driver had to be cut from his car.

He was taken to a hospital to be evaluated.  He suffered minor injuries in the incident.
