Family Looking For Truck Driver Who Found Their Dog

Published:

A New Mexico family is hoping to find the kind truck driver who picked up their dog following a car accident.

On November 10, Carly Cain was involved in a car accident on Interstate 40, near the Sky City Casino, approximately 60 miles west of Albuquerque.

Following the accident, the Cain’s 7-year-old Corgie, Dodger, got spooked and took off.

Cain has been tirelessly searching for Dodger.

Cain told KRQE that an employee at the Sky City truck stop told her that a truck driver entered the store, with a dog matching Dodger’s description, and asked her if she knew if anyone was looking or a dog.  The truck stop attendant informed the driver that she was unaware of anyone looking for a missing dog, so the truck driver left the store with the dog.

Dodger is not micro-chipped. He was wearing a blue collar.

Over the weekend, Darlene Lily posted this message to our Facebook wall,”Looking for the good samaritan trucker that picked up a Corgi dog in the parking lot in Acoma, NM (Sky City Casino) on Monday November 17th. The owner was in a terrible car accident near Exit 102 which totalled her car and the dog took off running in fright. Please if you know anything about this good guy direct him here. If anyone has any information at all regarding little Dodger please call Lily at 1-505-920-7989.”
