Fiery Crash Shuts Down Westbound I-20 In Georgia

UPDATE: One lane has been opened.
SUGGESTED ALTERNATE ROUTE: U.S. 78 Westbound

This morning, a fiery accident involving a bus and a FedEx truck shut down Westbound I-20 in Carroll County, Georgia around mile marker 21.

The crash occurred around 6:15 a.m. According to the Georgia State Patrol, the bus was slowly traveling in the right hand lane, when it was struck in the rear by the FedEx truck. Both vehicles rolled off the roadway and caught fire.

Driver of the bus was injured and transported to Tanner Medical Center for treatment, the driver of the truck was also badly injured and has been airlifted to Atlanta’s Grady Memorial Hospital.

No names have been released.
