Fire Rocks Connecticut Trucking Company

Over 7,600 trucks recalled fort defects that could spark a fire

FOX CT and The Courant report that an overnight explosion and fire rocked a Connecticut trucking company.

According to the media outlets, the explosions began at approximately 3:30 a.m. on Tuesday at Mountain Top Trucking, located at 50 Lincoln Avenue in Torrington, Connecticut.

Neighbors told authorities that they were awakened by the explosions.

When fire crews arrived, two tri-axle dump trucks were fully engulfed in flames and a third was on fire.

It took crews only twenty minutes to extinguish the flames.

It turns out that the explosions were coming from the tires.

The fire remains under investigation, but authorities say the fire “doesn’t appear to be suspicious.”
