A Punta Gorda, Florida rest area will permanently close its doors in January 2015.
The Jones Loop Road rest area is located off of Interstate 75, at exit 161.
According to the Florida Department of Transportation, the rest area has experienced low use over the last several years.
The nearest rest area is a truck comfort station is located on I-75 at mile marker 158.
