FMCSA To Hold Listening Session on Testing for New Entrants, Freight Forwarders and Brokers

Yesterday, the FMCSA announced that the agency will be holding public listening sessions on knowledge testing requirements for new entrant passenger and property carriers, freight forwarders and brokers.

The first listening session will be on January 13, 2014, in Nashville, Tennessee at the American Bus Association’s Marketplace conference at Music City Center, in room 202C from 9:30-11:30 a.m., and 2:30-4:30 p.m., CST.

Guests are not required to pre-register and attendance is free.

If you’re not able to make it in person but would like to listen in, the entire listening session will be webcast live at www.fmcsa.dot.gov.

FMCSA employees will take online comments and questions from the public during the listening session.

Additional public listening sessions will be held:

 

  • March 28 at the Mid-America Trucking Show taking place at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, Ky.
  • April 7 at the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance’s spring conference taking place at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel & Suites in Los Angeles.
